Nova Pathology PC, established by Michael J. Tomlinson DVM, DACVP in 2003, provides high-quality and timely pathology support to pharmaceutical, biopharmaceutical, contract research laboratory companies and academic researchers in the life sciences. To support Nova Pathology’s growth and to provide broader expertise, Dr. Tomlinson has assembled a team of experienced highly qualified pathologists, all of whom are Diplomates of the ACVP.
Nova Pathology has also established strategic collaborations with Wax-It Histology Services, for histology and immunohistochemistry services, with Tox Consult LLC and with International Scientific Associates who provide consulting for toxicology, pharmacology and other aspects of preclinical drug development.
Biotechnical Services Inc. (BSI), North Little Rock, AR is the contracted Nova Pathology QAU. BSI provides annual GLP training, periodic internal audits, and audits our GLP reports.

Expertise
All Nova Pathologists are certified by the American College of Veterinary Pathologists and have 20 or more years of experience in pathology. Our pathologists’ areas of expertise include rodent and non-human primate pathology, immunohistochemistry including tissue cross-reactivity, and animal model pathology including liver fibrosis, colitis and arthritis models. Organ system expertise includes liver, kidney, bones and joints, skin, cardiovascular and immune systems. Dr. Charles Brockus provides clinical pathology expertise as needed.
